Scary Outdoor Halloween Decorations That Hang in Mid-Air on a Broomstick

A hanging witch suspended on her broomstick reads from the street in a way a ground-level prop never manages: she appears to be flying, not standing. The glowing eyes and lit hair strands carry the figure after dark, and the purple cape and tattered gray robe give her enough movement in the wind to look alive.

She flies rather than stands. A suspended figure occupies the space above a path or porch where nothing else is competing for attention.

Why Choose This Hanging Witch

• Illuminated eyes: a glowing stare that carries the figure once it gets dark.
• Lit hair strands: extra points of light that pick out the face against the night.
• Full broomstick: a long handle and bristled head that sets the flying pose.
• Purple cape and tattered robe: loose fabric that moves in the wind rather than hanging flat.
• Classic buckled hat: the silhouette that reads as a witch from a distance.

Perfect For

• Porch overhangs: hung where visitors pass directly underneath.
• Tree branches: the flying pose works best with clear air around it.
• Front yards: visible from the sidewalk, which is where a yard display has to land.
• Entryways: suspended beside the door as the first thing guests meet.
